Day 1: Leh arrival and check in hotel.
Leh is at an altitude of 3500mts. And all the guests are advised to take a complete rest then in the evening local sightseeing. As a successful trek in Ladakh requires you to acclimatize well. Then before we go to sleep preparation for trek.

Day: 2 Leh  – Spituk – Zingchan (3200m 4hrs)
The first day’s walk can begin from Phey village instead of Spituk. It is a fairly pleasant walk in a south – westerly direction along the Indus in the right. It is long gentle walking before you enter Zinchen Gorge. This Gorge is dotted with poplar trees and we reach Zinchen village after an hour’s walk.

Day: 3 Zingchan to Kandala base camp  (4500m) (6-7hrs)
Today we climb up the hill till we get to Kandala Nalla, along which a path leads to a high pastures. The flat campsite commands a very nice view of the valley below.

Day: 4 Kandala Base camp to Skiu (7-8hrs)
Toady is a long way. The trek up to Kandala pass (4870mts) takes a little under two hours of steady climbing from the base camp. From the pass there is a well defined path which leads down to Shingo. Skiu is a fascinating placewith ruins of ancients monasteries.

Day: 5 Skiu to Markha (3850 6-7hrs)
An early start is recommended for this day as it gets very warm when it is sunny,although the walking is not very strenuous.

Day: 6 Markha to Thujngtse( 6-7hrs)
Tthis day is a moderately tough day, passing through the villages of Umlung and Hanikar. The Kangyatse Peak(6400m) dominates the landscape.

Day: 7 Thujungste to Nimaling(4650m 3-4hrs.)
Today is a easy trek which passes through several Mani walls and Shepherd camps. One can also spot Blue sheep and other wild life.

Day: 8 Nyimaling to Kongmaru la (5150m 7-8hrs) then to Shang Sumdo(3750m)
The trail crosses the Nyimaling Chu and ascends steeply upwards to the pass at Kongmaru La (5150mts). From here the descent is sharp and takes to Lhartse. The trail leads to shang river and beyond this there are Shepherd camps at Chuskumo and Chukmo. The camp site of Sham Sumdo is the confluence of two tributaries.

Day: 9 Shang Sumdo to Hemis(3600m  3-4hrs)
The early morning may be spent to explore the valley and monasteries of Shang Sumdo. Then we sat out along the jeepable road to Martselang. From heretexy would be arranged to take us to Leh.

Day: 10  Departure after breakfast.
