Dodital is a mysterious lake holding fresh water and offering tranquil environs. Dodital is one of the very few water bodies where Himalayan Trout’s are found. This picturesque lake is named after the rare Himalayan Trout’s known as Dodi in local language. Dodital is considered as one of the most beautiful lakes of India and it is extremely popular with nature lovers and trekking enthusiasts. The origin of this Tal is from the natural springs and the source of river ‘Asi Ganga’.
Day 1 : Haridwar arrival in the morning and then drive to Uttarkashi, check in hotel, rest and preparation for trek.
Day 2 : Uttarkashi to Sangamchatti drive 1 hr then trek from Sangamchatti is a gradual ascent till upto Agoda ( 5 to 6 hrs) overnight stay in the camp.
Day 3 : Agoda to Dodital (3024m trek 5 to 6hrs) a gradual uphill trek through beautiful land scape of thick forest and steep cliff.
Day 4 : Dodi tal to Darwa Dhar (4150m trek 5 to 6 hrs) Today one can enjoy the panoramic view of Greater Himalayan Peaks.
Day 5 : Drarwa Dhar to mid way camp descending towards Yamuna valley.
Day 6 : Mid way camp to Hanuman Chatti (2400m)
Day 7 : Hanuman Chatti to Yamunotri (3185m) a gradual climb upto Yamunotri
Day 8 : Yamunotri to Mussoorie
Day 9 : After early breakfast departure.
